Welcome to Modhouse

The Modhouse was founded in September 2008 by Mel and Nils. At this place you can get tattooed, pierced, cuttings, brandings, implants, shirts and accessories. At Modhouse individual counseling and maximum hygiene are the key.
Each tattoo is specifically designed for the customer and created and placed according to the aspects of aesthetics and durability. Chris has developed a passion for Asian design and street-type. Of course he is also doing other pictures with the same accuracy. It is very important to him to develop a personal relationship towards the customer and the desire to make every tattoo something really special. He likes working on major projects such as sleeves or full back. He is supported by Michi, who is tattooing himself and our tattoo apprentice Rea, who is conducting the consultations, making appointments and soon will be tattooing herself as well.
Not only due to his membership of the O.P.P. e.V. (first organization of professional piercers (registered association)) Nils feels obliged to implement the maximum hygiene in the studio. The separate treatment of the instruments is subject to the guidelines of the MPG (“Medical Devices Act”). The piercings are used in documented sterile procedures. Thus the costumer has the maximum and even provable security for his health. It can be taken for granted that all other services are as well carried out accordingly to these criteria.
Together, Mel and Nils are having more than 20 years of professional experience and a  stagnation is nothing for them to imagine. Constant self-improvement and continuous development are essential for them. This also benefits Anna, who is lending them both her support as a piercing apprentice.
Due to the high demand, from April 2010 on,  Mel will be offering permanent make-up, after having done a professional training with LCN. To make the process for our customers as comfortable as possible we are using the “Kryo-Liner”. In the execution of this revolutionary technology the relative spot gets chilled while the pigment gets embedded. Therefore the use of anesthetics becomes redundant. Moreover the result will be improved by this procedure.
